I noticed a growing need for proficient policy designers who can navigate the unique challenges of VR's legal and ethical landscape. HOST: That's so important. And currently, what trends are you seeing in the VR industry that are particularly relevant to this course? GUEST: Well, the rise of remote work has led to a boom in VR's use for virtual meetings and trainings, which brings new data privacy and user safety concerns. Additionally, intellectual property issues become increasingly complex in VR environments. HOST: Yes, those are critical areas to cover in the course. What would you say are the main challenges faced in the field of VR policy design? GUEST: One challenge is anticipating future developments in VR technology and designing policies that remain effective in the long term. Another is ensuring that regulations foster innovation without stifering progress. HOST: That's crucial. Where do you see the future of VR policy design heading? GUEST: I believe we'll witness greater international collaboration to create globally applicable VR policies.
