GUEST: There are several trends, including the increased use of artificial intelligence and machine learning for autonomous navigation, and the miniaturization of robotic systems for cost-effective missions. As for challenges, one major issue is the harsh environment of space, which puts a lot of stress on robotic systems and requires innovative solutions. HOST: That's quite interesting. Looking to the future, where do you see the field of space robotics operations heading in the next 5-10 years? GUEST: I believe we'll see more sophisticated autonomous systems, which will enable more ambitious space missions, such as asteroid mining and even the establishment of lunar and Martian bases.
